Clean water is for more than just drinking.

Many waterborne illnesses are a result of poor hygiene and sanitation, so we promote water safety by equipping Ugandan communities with hand washing stations. We deploy two main types: (1) portable stands and (2) permanent systems. Portable stands consist of a 30L refillable plastic barrel with a tap on a metal stand. The larger, permanent systems resemble miniature (2000L tank) rainwater collection systems connected to the roof a latrine facility.

IMPACT: Hand washing for 50-250 people (portable stand) or 100-500 people (permanent system)

LIFESPAN: 20+ years

COST: $50 USD (portable stand) or $1,700 USD (permanent system)

All construction materials are sourced in Uganda and installed by our Ugandan crew. Our hygiene/sanitation project costs are turnkey, meaning we’ll get the job done no matter what and never ask you for more.
