The Ugandan Water Project began in 2008 from the expressed desire for churches in Uganda to share the love of Jesus by meeting a practical need.

Many churches in the United States enjoy incredible freedom to gather, worship, and serve their communities. The Church in Uganda, however, often faces significant barriers that limit its ability to meet and minister. General sanitation, latrine maintenance and operation, and the availability of safe drinking water are among these challenges. 

When you partner with the Ugandan Water Project, you help minimize these challenges and free the Church in Uganda to meet and minister more holistically. Providing reliable sources of safe drinking water and effective sanitation solutions equips local churches to become trusted and welcoming gathering spaces where communities are served, relationships are strengthened, and the Gospel is shared.
