The Ugandan Water Project’s 16th Annual 5K is back! We are excited to invite you to join us both in-person and virtually on Saturday, April 12th, 2025 at Powder Mills Park in Pittsford, NY. We will be running and walking for clean water. So grab your sneakers, set your goal, and get ready to walk, run, or skip us one step closer to the end of Uganda’s water crisis.

RACE DAY REGISTRATION 8:00 a.m.
RACE START 9:00 a.m.

Online registration is open until 11:59 pm on April 10th. Early birds registering by April 1st guarantee their race day t-shirt and packet pick-up. Virtual runners, we’ve got you covered—your gear will come straight to your door!

When you register for our 5K, you are making a tangible difference in the lives of people throughout Uganda. All participants agree to raise or donate $100 or more. Give your friends, family, and local community a cause to rally behind—we’ve got plenty of resources to help you.

A great way to make a big impact is to start a team! Your team can be made up of friends, family, your sports team, church group, alumni from your college, co-workers, or whoever else you want. The top fundraising team will get their name on our handcrafted trophy and keep it on display until the next 5K. Once you register, you’ll receive instructions to help you take the next steps!

Race Registration

This is required for the timing company.
There are youth and adult t-shirt sizes available!
I understand that running a road race is a potentially hazardous activity. I should not enter and run unless I am medically able and properly trained. I agree to abide by the decision of the race officials relative to my ability to safely complete the event. I assume all risks associated with running/walking this event including, but not limited to, falls, contact with other runners, the effects of the weather, and the conditions of the course, all such risks being known and appreciated by me. I grant permission to the organizing groups to use any photograph, motion pictures or recordings of my taking part in this event for any legitimate purpose. I acknowledge that allowing my child under the age of 18 to play on the park playground across from Powderhorn Lodge on Woolston Road involves inherent risks. By permitting my child to engage in this recreational activity, I understand and accept the potential hazards associated with such play, including, but not limited to, falls, collisions with other children, weather-related effects, and the conditions of the play equipment and surrounding area. I am fully aware of these risks, and I appreciate that my child's participation in this activity is contingent upon their physical and mental well-being. In recognition of these facts and in consideration of granting permission for my child to play on the park playground, I, for myself and on behalf of my child, hereby waive and release any claims or liabilities of any kind against the relevant authorities, park management, and any affiliated sponsors. I acknowledge that I am solely responsible for any risks associated with my child's participation in this recreational activity, and I absolve the park management, volunteers, and sponsors from any responsibility in the event of injury, damage, or other incidents that may arise during my child's play. By allowing my child to engage in this activity, I voluntarily assume all risks associated with their play on the park playground. I understand that this waiver is binding, and I agree not to hold responsible or make any claims against any party involved in organizing or maintaining the park playground. I also understand that this waiver is a necessary condition for allowing my child to participate, and I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to ensure my child's well-being during their time on the playground. Having read this waiver acknowledging these facts and in consideration of you accepting my entry, I for myself, and everyone entitled to act on my behalf, waive and release Ugandan Water Project, Inc., the timing company, volunteers and any and all race sponsors from any claims or liabilities of any kind arising out of my participation in this event. I understand that all entry fees are nonrefundable.
