I’m heading BACK to East Africa in a little over a month! July 21 to be exact.
This time around will be a little different. Instead of traveling as a student, I’ll be co-leading a group of 11 people for a two-week trip with the Ugandan Water Project, where I work! The thought of walking alongside these men and women as they fall in love with Uganda and wrestle through some difficult realities is both humbling and thrilling.
As a staff member, my trip costs are covered by the organization, but I’ve chosen to fundraise the full cost of one of UWP’s water projects so that, with your help, my team and I can leave behind something of tangible value to a community– clean drinking water. The project I’m fundraising for is a rainwater collection system, which can provide 100 families or 500 school children with clean drinking water for 20+ years. The cost for decades of life-changing water access? $3,600.
Will you help me equip a community in Uganda with clean drinking water by donating to my campaign? A gift of $15, $30, $50 or any size will go a long ways toward helping me raise the final $2,200 I need to get this project fully funded!
