The students of Keshequa Primary learned about the lack of access to clean water during a unit on Cultural Diversity. They each studied a different country in Africa and found information about the issue of water. Along with their studies, the students listened to A Long Walk to Water. The students came away with great empathy for the children and women who spent hours of their day collecting water that may not even be clean. They wanted to do something to make a positive impact and help change this for some people. We are trying to raise $750, which will provide 10 Sawyer Point-of-Use filters; one in each classroom at a school in Uganda!
