Thank you for visiting our campaign page! We are honored that you are making a donation to the Ugandan Water Project in lieu of a wedding gift. When we first got engaged, we wanted to find a way for our guests to celebrate in a way that brings positive change to the world. The Ugandan Water Project is an organization that we have have a passion for and a personal connection with! We’ve known Richard and Anna Welch since our freshman year of college at Grove City College – Richard is UWP’s Operations Director in Uganda and we are excited to partner with him (and his family!) through UWP for this campaign. The work he is doing to bring clean water resources to communities throughout Uganda is inspiring, and we are lucky to call him both partner and friend! Through his friendship and involvement with UWP, we have been able to see the immediate importance of financial support for these water projects.
Both of us have been blessed with an abundance of friends, family, and connections in our lives. We understand the value of supporting people, communities, and organizations that impact the lives of others who may not have access to the basic needs that most of us take for granted. By being able to provide clean water to a primary school in Uganda, we feel that we are empowering those students and the surrounding community to pursue futures that wouldn’t have been possible if they had to walk miles a day to a water sources. We feel that everyone, no matter where they live in the world, should have access to clean, safe drinking water. For our wedding (May 2017), we’d love for you to be a part of our celebration and this very special gift!
Thank you for bringing life by donating – giving water is a gift that truly brings about tangible change! Help us fund a rainwater collection system for a primary school in Uganda!
