I have exciting news! I have recently been given the privilege of joining Team #25 with a Christ-centered humanitarian organization called the Ugandan Water Project (ugandanwaterproject.com) this coming summer from July 29th – August 11th. I have had a heart for missions since I was 8 years old, and now I have the opportunity to see a dream of mine become reality, with your help.
We have been so blessed and are often times unaware of the fact that we have clean, accessible sources of water. In Uganda, this is not the case and the lack of clean drinking water affects nearly every aspect of life and well-being. UWP works with sponsors to fund and install rainwater collection systems, repair borehole wells, and distribute filters in Ugandan communities. This absolutely transforms the lives of the people there. The water is now easily obtained and clean to help prevent disease. I am excited to be able to see this first-hand and share the love of Christ in such a practical way.
Here’s where you can help. I can not do this on my own. I am asking for your support either prayerfully, financially, or both. Prayer is vital to this mission. Please be praying for myself, the team, and the Ugandans we will be working alongside. My team will be collecting stories from community members, interacting with everyone from local leadership to children. Over the next 4 months, I need to raise $3500. My first deadline is coming up quickly! I need $700 by May 7th and then $2000 by June 4th to cover airfare, with total trip fees due July 16th. I am specifically asking for donations of $50 or $100, though your gift in any amount is greatly appreciated.
You can support me in the following ways:
- Financial support: Give here!
- Prayer: Be praying for our team both in preparation and as we travel to and spend time in Uganda.
In whatever way you feel led to give I am very appreciative. I look forward to all that God will do in and through us, as you give and I go!
